BARNBURNER PEACH SMASH
There are few flavour combinations in this world as naturally meant for each other as peach and whisky. One is all sunshine and sweetness; the other brings depth, warmth, and a little swagger. Together in a Smash? It's practically a love story — and it stars Barnburner Whisky. Muddled fresh peach, bright lemon, a whisper of mint, and Ontario's most boldly named whisky: this is the cocktail that tells you summer isn't over yet.
Ingredients
2 oz Barnburner Whisky
2 fresh peach slices (ripe, in-season if possible)
4 fresh mint leaves
½ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
Ice
Peach slice and mint sprig for garnish
How to Make It
Drop the peach slices and mint leaves into your shaker. Muddle until the peach is fully broken down and the mint is fragrant — about 8–10 firm presses. Add Barnburner Whisky, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Double-strain over a rocks glass loaded with fresh ice. Garnish with a peach slice and a mint sprig. Smell it before you sip it. You're welcome.

The riper the peach, the better the drink — Ontario peaches in late summer are extraordinary here. Double-strain to catch any peach pulp if you prefer a cleaner texture; skip it if you like it a little rustic.
